Evidence-Based and Customizable For Your Preferences

Looking for a birth plan that providers will actually read and keeps your preferences flexible?

What's included

When you purchase, you'll receive a PDF with multiple color options so you can choose the palette that feels like you. Simply select your preferred color, and you'll be taken straight to your Visual Birth Plan. From there, you can remove any icons that don't apply to your situation, add personal notes in any section, and fill in your information — all in just a few minutes.

This isn't just your standard birth plan

This is a visual birth plan built around the real decisions you'll face on the day you give birth. Research shows that short, visual birth plans are more effective than standard templates — and here's why that matters for you:

  • Providers can actually read it. No dense paragraphs, no flipping through pages — just clear, at-a-glance communication when every second counts.

  • It speaks for itself. Anyone who glances at it immediately understands your preferences, even in a busy, fast-moving room.

  • Everything fits on 1–2 pages. All of your wishes, neatly organized and easy to reference — so nothing gets missed and nothing gets lost.

How do I use the visual birth plan after it's customized?

It's simple. Once you've selected all the icons that reflect your preferences, print it out and bring it to your next provider appointment — and don't just hand it over, talk through it together.

💡 Doula Tip: Ask your provider to sign your birth plan — yes, a physical signature. This small step carries real weight on the day of your birth. If a different doctor or nurse pushes back on a preference that poses no risk to you or your baby, you can confidently point to that signature as confirmation that it's already been approved by your care team.

Finally, review your birth plan with your entire support team — partner, doula, and anyone else who will be in the room — so that everyone arrives on the same page.

Don't forget to bring a few copies of the birth plan to the hospital. Every time you get a new nurse give them a physical copy and a verbal run down of your preferences.

What if I need help making my birth plan?

You don't have to figure this out alone. If you don't have a doula yet, or you're simply looking for extra guidance, I'd love to sit down with you and your family to walk through your preferences, support your decision-making, and help you build a realistic picture of what your birth day could look like — for whatever path it takes.

And as a thank-you for your purchase, you'll find a coupon code for 10% off an additional session waiting for you at checkout.

I'm here whenever you need me.
